Answers about our services, fees and the legal questions that arise in work and everyday life.
Frequently asked questions
Before you instruct us.
Our approach to your matter, quality review, timing, fees and the responsible use of technology.
Should I negotiate a settlement or bring a claim?
We first review the facts, documents and relevant deadlines. Negotiation may be the right starting point; in other cases, a prompt claim or urgent application may better protect your position. We explain the options, the risks and our recommendation so you can decide how to proceed.
How do you review the quality of legal advice and submissions?
Our LQS review covers the facts, legal analysis, supporting authorities, available options and risks. The responsible legal professional reviews and approves the work before delivery, with partner or specialist involvement appropriate to the matter’s complexity and significance.
LQS · Legal Quality StandardsCan you support a business without an in-house legal department?
Yes. Our legal management plans provide continuing support with advice, contracts, claims and legal risk. The scope and level of support are agreed according to your organisation’s needs.
Can you help an overseas investor enter the Saudi market?
Yes. Our investment entry work considers your proposed activity, legal structure, licences, contracts and related requirements. We agree the scope, authorities involved and next steps for your particular investment.
When will you respond, and how long will the work take?
We provide an initial response within 120 minutes during business hours. We then agree a delivery period once we have the required information and documents and have confirmed the scope. Complexity, urgency, court timetables and third parties may affect that period; we explain these dependencies before work begins.
How are your fees agreed?
We assess what your matter needs, then set out the scope, deliverables, expected timing and fees. The proposal explains what is included, any exclusions and external costs. You can review these terms before instructing us.
I have drafted a contract with ChatGPT. What would your review add?
An AI-assisted draft can be a starting point. We review it against your transaction, interests and the applicable law, address gaps and risks, and have the responsible legal professional approve the work. Professional responsibility remains with THAT.
How is confidentiality protected when AI tools are used?
Confidential client information must not be entered into unapproved tools. Our use of technology is subject to professional confidentiality, Saudi data protection requirements and the firm’s information security policies. We also respect any conditions you place on the use of AI in your legal work.
Who is responsible for the advice when AI is involved?
The responsible lawyer or legal specialist remains accountable for the work. AI may assist with research, organisation and an initial draft; the legal professional assesses the facts, reaches the legal conclusions and approves the final advice.
